STEM Champions of Baltimore Inc. (SCB) runs a variety of STEM programs in Baltimore City. It runs the largest STEM broad-based competition program in the City. It conducts a variety of high school choice and career events, does career resource development and deployment, and specialized STEM curriculum development. SCB provides summer STEM curriculum and training to City schools, University of Maryland, and several nonprofits. 

The objectives of engaging underrepresented populations and continuing children in a pipeline of aspiration and opportunities all came together in the formation of STEM Champions of Baltimore. SCB has strong partners through Kate’s work for over eight years with City Schools’ Teaching and Learning, Morgan State Engineering and Science Deans, Hopkins Center for Educational Outreach and strong networking with other organizations related to after-school efforts.
